trip with the titas

I went to tagaytay today with my titas... At first I was reluctant to join them, but since I was dead-bored in the house, I told myself, Hell YEAH! I hav’ta go! a few quality time with the gurangs (a term i collectively call them) won't be that bad. Well I didn’t regret it either. The trip was fun, the weather up there was cool, cool enough to calm me up and forget all the stressful city-related drudgeries.

After stopping by at Josephine’s which, by the way is such a cool restaurant, we did our own little pictorials outside. My tita’s, namely tita edith, tita claire, tita nats, tita lits and my mother… came frolicking in the garden and did a lot of funny poses for the cam. When we were in the van, they reminisced and talked about their early days living in Quiapo, (their hometown) being quite impoverished back then. They recalled the way they poop every time their common bath’s toilet clogs up, (nung mga dalaga pa sila) What they did was they do their no.2 on newspapers, wrap it with plastic and throw it on the roof next door. HAHAHA! Laughtrip sila kanina! and imagine the shrilling voices they had while laughing!! all of a sudden I thought I was the most mature one on-board.

Anyway our main purpose is to purchase fresh fruits and plants. And so we did. The van was filled with different kinds of plants and fruits, it was a jungle inside, and it smelled really awful too. Probably because of the langka, the cape barako and the vinegar aromas combined.

By the way, my mother agreed to let me rip her pants, just like my torn jeans, since I said it was the “in-thing” kuno. She was so “bagets” kanina! Hahaha!

random insights

been wonderin' and thinkin' a lot of weird stuffs...

- If i were to drink an expired poison, will it still kill me?

-Q: You know why "monthsaries" suddenly became popular these days?
A: Coz' relationships these days barely last for more than a year. (next thing you know, ther'll be weeksaries and daysaries)

- I just discovered that a "draft beer" is "beer dispensed in a keg or a cask". sorry im not a beer person kasi eh.

- Try this: stand with your one foot only... try not to fall for 10 seconds... easy right?
now try doing this with closed eyes... you'll lose your balance in no time...
why is that?
our vision also helps us to balance our own body weight as we stand. cool noh?

- I always think that Chicago and Las Vegas are states... well they aren't... Chicago is in Illinois, Las Vegas is in Nevada. stupid!

- Peter Jackson is remaking the movie KING KONG, while STEVEN SPIELBERG is rumored working with TRANSFORMERS the movie. (i think size is all that matters now)

- I'm feeding my rabbit hay. It helps the droppings to be less liquidish.

- Claudine will be wearing a 15 million worth necklace on her wedding. BY GOLLY!

- Deep sea fishes have big popped-out eyes. its because of the high pressure of water.

- How can fortune tellers tell the lucky numbers in LOTTO if they themselves can't afford to win it.

- If you have mosquitoes flying in your car. and you're driving very very fast. does that mean mosquitoes can fly just as fast as the speed of your car?

- Did you know that dimples, are defects on the face? (or maybe this is just sour-graping? haha)

kaloka mga thoughts ko! i dunno, maybe my mind is always wandering in so many dimensions.

our csb retreat

hope the bridge collapses...

the blazers...kuno

the bus ride

peeing on the bus

smile!! like we're holy.

it's finally over. the retreat i'm dreading and longing at the same time has finally ended. it was fun and exciting. (exciting in a sense na nagtatago ako sa facilitators para maka cross-over ng cottages.) well, the good part of the whole experience was that the activities we did, were all heart felt... i was crying for the first time, and i had the chance to get even closer to my other classmates, such as mich and judith etc. esp. dun sa exchanging of candles part... the weather was chilling up there in tagaytay, and grasping the candles helped me warm up a bit..hehe

anyway, the Charoodles game my friend Bie brought was fun too... (bie dalhin mo yan sa next outing ha!?) and also the exchanging of letters. I never had the chance to receive so much letters of sincerity and with emotional messages in it on my highschool retreats... we did it in don bosco twice...but what do you expect from guys?? i also learned how to play pusoy, thanks to our retreat mate Jam. she reminds me of shaina.

the bus ride home was fun too, cookie and i sang till we drop with krisna's guitar. so we end up sleeping on each others' shoulders. we arrive at csb in time with the schedule which is 1:30. we head to psid to do some consultation regarding the exhibit... and because of the stress and anxiety the heavy traffic caused us, we were back to our original attitude. grumpy, short-tempered, lazy and restless. talk about "repenting."

head's too big for the door

i'll be smiling while sleeping tonight. not because i'm a crazy loner, but because im just very proud of the annual design layouts i presented to the faculty courtesy call a while ago. it doesn't happen everyday that the PSID faculty would praise and applaud your work. dabalah?! it's so head-swelling, and "put yourself on a pedestal" kinda thing.. and im just too proud right now. the committee i'm in, and my friends around me. it's just working out real good. Go Annual Com! the richest committee so far! hahaha! but, like what sir jie said, we have to live up for what we presented... so... work is not done yet. it's just getting started. don't be too cocky unless we've come to that very last stage of accomplishing everything. but for the mean time, i'm really inspired to do more layout work. (oh no, other committees....dont push it, though!)

having a break

here i am, sittin' all day, slaving in front of my computer, doin' layout stuffs. and now i'm taking a break from it. unfortunately the break still involves my computer, and that's updating my blog. i guess i'm spending too much time with this computer, i'm beginning to miss the real me. the dancing, sleeping, eating, couch-potato me. but... work is work...and it has to be done. i'm grateful however, because at last, that wretched hotel plates are over. i think I lost a couple of pounds during that despicable span of time. but results are very rewarding, i might say. it wasn't perfect, but it wasn't that bad either. the jury were kinda harsh, but we were just very numb. many thanks to my friends, who, through the whole time of hard labor, took it easy, and made it light and breezy. sounds ironic? but yes it was. i guess the key to a stress-free and tension-free work are the few intermission laughters here and there. just enjoy what you're doing, and dodge away from anything that pisses you off. stuff your shirt with a towel, and pretend like a dancing pregnant britney.... right guys? hehe*wink*

tryin' to be nonchalant about it

“but in reality I’m slowly losing my mind
underneath the guise of smile
gradually I’m dying inside.
friends ask me how I feel
and I lie convincingly
cause I don’t want to reveal
the fact that I’m suffering.
so I wear my disguise
till I go home at night
and turn down all the lights
and then I break down and cry…”

getting fishy

we just finished setting up our new aquarium, and I realize putting up a 70-gallon-aquarium is not just regular work…oh no… with a big tank like that, you have to drink a bottle of energy drink to get you powered up initially. We can’t find our garden hose, so we have to carry several pails to get this tank filled up. I guess I just did the best weight-LOSING exercise ever. woohoo! bony physique …here I come!

anyway, the best part was arranging the shells and dried corals that we took from Bonito Island Resort last May. I always wanted a salt-water aquarium, but since it’s beyond our budget, I have to be clever and make ours look like one. madali lang pala..hehe para lang flower arrangement… tall corals at the back, colorful little ones up front. ok naman sya…muka na syang under the sea…hehe!

we only bought 6 fishes (still not proportionate to our humongous tank). I haven’t decided what to name them yet, but I’m thinking; Sushi, Fillet, Sweet & Sour, Maki and Sardine.

coz those are what they’ll be when they die. haha! mmm!

pumapatak nanaman ang ulan

hay! umuulan nanaman. perfect time to eat sopas and drink hot Milo.. and start contemplating...

hmmmm...

from now on, i should change my outlook in life. Be more positive, for worrywarts never win. Half full rather than half empty. Life is great but is disguised by troubles. Appreciate things not because they’re never gone, but because they're always there.

Listen to people, embrace their words and understand them before finding their faults. That's why God gave us to ears and just one mouth... we have to listen twice as much as we speak.

contemplation over! i'll have to finish my milo and eat my sopas simultaneously, to obtain NOT an upset stomach, but an enjoyable fart fest. Oh diba postivie outlook na!?

laff trip

today’s wake up time? 1pm! that was not sleeping, that was more of a hibernation. Last night was a long night. We went all the way to Laffline comedy bar in quezon ave to just momentarily forget and leave our worries behind, and we did. It was the best comedy bar show I’ve ever been to, toppling all the shows we’ve watched before. The stage was jam-packed with the most talented gay comediennes namely, pretty trizsa, tuko (whom I loved and pitied at the same time), kit-kat, ate gay, nightingale, eric, sami, and the night’s special guest, ethel booba. They all made our night, and we didn’t stop laughing, I think the only relief was when we went to the bathroom to pee our pressed bladders out, and that’s it.
Luckily, there wasn’t a single corny performer that evening. Some went on stage dressed up as Darna, and each would impersonate different kinds of Darna, should it be portrayed by Nora, Zsa Zsa, Jaya, Mystica, and Madam Auring. They also did this bit, wherein Tuko was a remote controlled robot, and stops every time the remote tells him to freeze. No matter how precarious his position was, he’d always manage to stop at the command. One time he was asked to freeze while cart-wheeling, and he did! Imagine how much blood accumulated in his head. The participants from the audience were also great! They would pull up good looking guys and molest them on stage, grabbing their you-know-what and kissing them on you-know-where! Ethel Booba showed up at 12 midnight. She was not that funny as I was expecting her to be, rather, she was very timid and had to be accompanied by other gays who would ask her English questions, and she would reply with complete difficulty. Well how else would she get her screen name?

but it was a really fun night. We hope to go back there and watch them all over again. Our 3 thou bill was worth it. We all rode back home, not wanting to talk because of the exhaustion and tiredness it caused us.
